An Experience That Lasts...

"Now I see the secret of making the best persons. It is to grow in the open air and to eat and sleep with the earth."

-- Walt Whitman

Wilderness Horseback Riding and Outpost Packing
Enjoy having your own horse for a week while "on the trail" as you develop Western riding skills. Even with no previous experience, you can ride through the high country - all the way to 11,500 feet. You will camp by streams, cook over open fires, see the world from a mountain top, and enjoy "snowcones" in July!

National Parks Trips
Enjoy some of nature's most incredible formations and wonders in Zion, Bryce, Capitol Reef, and Canyon Lands National Parks. Travel in the Ranch vans and spend the day hiking trails, swimming in streams, cooling beneath waterfalls, camping, and studying geological formations. Weather permitting, two-day backpacking trips are taken down the world-famous Narrows of Zion National Park.

Backpacking and Wilderness Training
Backpack the pine- and aspen-shaded trails of the 11,000-foot Aquarius Plateau or trek through the dry streambeds of the San Raphael Desert regions. You will find deep satisfaction in your newly discovered abilities. Learn to live off the land in style, practice orienteering skills with a map, compass and G.P.S. and develop self-reliance through wilderness training.

White Water Kayaking
You'll develop paddling & kayaking balance skills in the pond and training rapids in a river near the Ranch. Once you are confident, you will depart in kayaks to meet the challenges of the white water. Run the rapids of two of America's most exciting rivers, the Green River and the Colorado River.

Rock Climbing
The base site for this adventure is in the high granite of the Henry Mountains or the spectacular grandeur of Arches National Park near Moab. Learn to belay and rappel from qualified mountaineers. Then on belay or rappelling down the face, you will come to know Ant Crack, Milk Shaker, and other exciting climbs with qualified technical instructors and with the latest safety methods.

Mountain Biking
Ride world-famous trails such as Slick Rock in Moab, Dixie and Fishlake National Forestlands, Brian Head, as well as other National Parks and private lands in beautiful southern Utah. On some trips, bikers strap their sleeping bag, stove, and food on their mountain bikes and have a "backpacking on wheels" experience.

Water Skiing
Lake Powell's 2,800 miles of shoreline wind through deep sandstone canyons and gently rounded hills. The cool, clear water provides the ultimate in developing water-skiing, wake-boarding, swimming, and windsurfing skills. Knee boarding, sand dune rolling, and other exciting water activities are enjoyed on this trip.
