FacilitiesNavajo Trails Camp

The dining hall is the main indoor gathering location at camp.  Not only is it where we cook and enjoy most of our meals, it is also where the health center and office are located.  Inside the dining hall there is a small lounge area and piano.  At Navajo Trails we believe that everyone should help with the preparation and cleaning duties so before every meal a group of campers will set the tables and after every meal another group will complete the dishwashing under direct supervision of their cabin counselors.

There are 6 cabins on the property.  Boys & girls sleep in different cabins.  Every cabin has a staff room where staff members of the same gender sleep.  Cabins have electricity & lights, but are not air conditioned or heated.  Moderate summer temperatures don’t require heating or air conditioning.  Cabins have cots with mattresses.  There are single cots and cots set up as bunk beds.  At the end of an active days events, campers enjoy the respite of the cabins.

Bathrooms have flush toilets, electricity, and hot water.  There are separate bathrooms for boys & girls.  Inside the bathrooms is the shower area with private showers.  There is also a private changing area adjacent to the showers.   When in camp, campers are allowed to shower at their leisure.  On the trip activities, regular showers may or may not be available on a daily basis though accommodations for regular personal cleaning are provided.
